I joined macro photography workshop with some of my friends. I forgot who was the trainer and I forgot all she taught to me also hahaha :') (I'm sorry)
I really a bad learner, I didn't make a note for it but when I "hang out" with my camera I really enjoy it. Macro photography is pretty hard I think because need more effort, patient and concentration for get a perfect shot. But, the results are really breath-taking.
I used my friend camera because I hadn't a camera that moment so I didn't have a time for adapted with my friend's camera. And... they're my 'better' results from that workshop,

macro photography is really challenging when you do it in wild life but you can make a media too for your wild 'studio'. That was an aquarium with moss and small stones, we can put some animals (we didn't hurt them)
Adjusted lighting and white balance are quite hard, my hands was trembling because of it and too long hold a camera :(
I can't tell you some tips in macro photography because I don't know the exact technique, I just like take a snapshot and write a story about them. I enjoy when I already hold my camera and find some interesting spot everywhere. Capture a moment, scenery, and expression.
